Not saying you specifically but there are some here that are so caught up in the chargen they prefer that everything else stinks.
I do not know enough about the detailed gestalt rules to say what you would do with a sorcerer/wizard (both spell progressions?), although that one will be tricky, because of the spellstat token. You are essentially creating a new class that has attributes of both. But if you want to play a character that’s equally adept in roleplay and combat, you can’t go far wrong with a classic Half-Elf Bard, trained in the College of Lore. You just have to line by line go down the base class list and take the better when there is a duplicate. It’s not going to win any awards for creativity, and won’t have you pushing the boundaries of D&D 5E norms. Yes, it can be done with any class combination. I appreciate some one setting me straight and correct on it. But it was in my experience before that PCGen was not capable of it.
